Fall Campout
Our first campout for the 2021-22 year is scheduled for Oct. 15-17, in East Texas, at Brother Dean “Doc”, and Edee Hansen’s ranch near Scroggins, TX (4091 FM 3007, Scroggins, Texas … near Lake Bob Sandlin and about a two hour drive east). Many thanks to the Hansen’s for allowing us to use their ranch!! This will be a primitive camp site. Doc & Edee’s ranch is sizeable (~300 acres) and has livestock, but the animals will be fenced-in, separated from where we’ll be camping … we’ll need to NOT cross any fence lines from the area of the ranch where we’ll be camping. There is a private shooting range, so our primary activity for Saturday will be doing some gun safety and small caliber target shooting training with the cadets. There is also a pond that Doc says should have some fish in it.
